However, where usual structural engineering norms do not suffice, we reach special agreements with our customers to conduct our assessment based on available alternative rules, for instance, US guidelines.

This is particularly the case where there is a need to consider special forces (such as unforeseeable impacts, explosions and earthquakes) or where exceptional safety requirements are of the utmost priority.
